HBBC Kicks Off a New Year

The Holden Beach Beautification Club kicked off a new club year on Wednesday with Sue Immen of The Wild Horse Preserve at Grayce Wynds. Located off of Boones Neck Road, Grayce Wynds is one of Holden Beach’s newest attractions featuring wild horses, a farm, and a village with a Jail House, Saloon, Chapel, Mercantile and a School House. After the presentation, President Denise Mirandola introduced new members and shared plans for the upcoming year.

Our next meeting is October 13th at 1:00 at the Holden Beach Chapel. Our speaker will be Elliot Swain, Director of the Brunswick County Soil and Water Conservation District who will speak on backyard rain gardens, impervious surfaces and other topics pertinent to island living.
