Spring has sprung! Last fall HBBC added a small boat planter to the area along Jordan Blvd, just north of Ocean Blvd. in an effort to bring some cheer to an area that is highly trafficked by both residents and visitors. A boat that was headed to the landfill was donated, repainted, and filled with winter annuals and spring-blooming bulbs. If you go by today a cheery scene awaits. Several varieties of daffodils, grape hyacinths, and other winter bulbs fill the boat along with pansies and violas. Later this spring the boat will be planted with summer annuals.
