We are so excited that our major project for the year has been completed! This year the Holden Beach Beautification Club repaired the irrigation systems in the Town’s gardens which we plant and care for. The systems were very old and not functioning correctly and either didn’t provide water or provided too much water. The project was completed just in time. New blooming perennials will be planted next week followed by seasonal summer annuals in a few weeks. As gardeners, we know how critical water is to the plants in our sandy soils. Congratulations to Landscaping Co-Chair Carol Ann Lohman for shepherding this project to completion along with Co-Chairs Tia Hegarty and Vicki Myers.
